Here are the restrictions to be observed during your stay, regarding the COVID-19 situation:
Restrictions (Last updated February 7th, 2021)
- Group from only one address (family already living under the same roof)
- Interregional travel is not recommended, but it is not prohibited. We therefore ask you to limit any unnecessary travel before going to the cottage and to do your groceries in your own region before leaving.
- Red zone: Mandatory curfew from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. - Orange zone: Mandatory curfew from 9:30 p.m. to 5 a.m.
As regulations are constantly changing, the tenant understands that the dates of their stay could be postponed or modified. The commodities could be slightly different if restrictions are issued concerning equipment at the cottage. In the event that the government does not allow cottage rentals or that there might be any restriction preventing us from welcoming you to the cottage, we will issue you a credit for the amount paid for the a new booking at the same cottage within the next 12 months. There would be no refunds, under any conditions.

Set in one the most beautiful corners of the Eastern Townships, Lac Spooner Pond lies discretely in a hilly region that is home to dairy farms, white-tailed deer, pastureland and deciduous forests. This charming district is yours to discover when you stay at Au Goglu des Prés, an industrial-style cottage.
Don’t be surprised if you see a family of wild turkeys crossing the road, an eagle soaring overhead near the lake or a hawk perched motionless on a dead tree branch. This is a special place to observe and reflect on nature. Spectacular sunsets can be admired right from the cottage, while the sloping property provides a panoramic view of the lake. Many mature trees add to the ambiance of this beautiful property that boasts 100 feet of waterfront.
There is a complete range of amenities for outdoor living. A 12-foot square dock provides lots of space to relax right beside the lake. Go for an excursion on one of four craft available to guests* (a pedal boat, two kayaks and a rowboat). Two spacious balconies 35 feet in length on the lake side of the cottage provide a beautiful view of the lake. One balcony is covered in case of rain and has a private all-season spa. A fire pit (wood provided) is also available for bonfire gatherings.
* Please note that it is not possible to bring your own boats to this cottage. Fishing and motorboats are not allowed on Lac Spooner Pond. *** Between Thanksgiving and the Patriots' weekend, we can not guarantee that the dock will be installed and that the watercrafts will be available. *
DESCRIPTION OF THE PREMISES
You enter directly into the fully equipped kitchen whose features include a Viking gas stove, dishwasher and Breville espresso coffeemaker. The kitchen shares a common space with the dining room. Large windows provide lots of natural lighting, and there is direct access to a deck with patio furniture. The sound system has speakers in every room and on the balconies, each zone with its own volume control. Air conditioning has been installed for maximum comfort, and the downstairs floor is water-heated.
With 3 closed bedrooms, maximum occupancy is 6. The main floor has 1 bedroom with a foldaway double bed. Downstairs is a second bedroom downstairs with queen-size bed and a closed living room with foldaway double bed. All mattresses are made of superior quality memory foam for maximum comfort. Each bedroom has its own flat-screen television. There are 2 bathrooms with shower.
