• What is your cancellation policy?

    Contract clauses 6.3 and 6.4 may vary according to the cottage. You may read the cancellation policy for each cottage before booking. Here are the contract clauses about cancellation: 6. CANCELLATION POLICY 6.1 In the event of a cancellation, the Lessee must inform the Lessor to this effect by written notice sent to [email protected]. 6.2 If the written notice of cancellation stipulated in subsection 6.1 is received at least four (4) months prior to the ARRIVAL DATE, the DEPOSIT shall be reimbursed. 6.3 If the written notice of cancellation stipulated in subsection 6.1 is received less than Page 3 of 8 6.3 If the written notice of cancellation stipulated in subsection 6.1 is received less than four (4) months but more than thirty (30) days prior to the ARRIVAL DATE, the DEPOSIT shall not be reimbursed, but may be converted into a deposit towards a later rental of the same PROPERTY, on condition that the reservation for the later rental of the same PROPERTY is confirmed within twelve (12) months following reception of the written notice. OR 6.3 If the written notice of cancellation stipulated in subsection 6.1 is received less than Page 3 of 8 6.3 If the written notice of cancellation stipulated in subsection 6.1 is received less than four (4) months but more than sixty (60) days prior to the ARRIVAL DATE, the DEPOSIT shall not be reimbursed, but may be converted into a deposit towards a later rental of the same PROPERTY, on condition that the reservation for the later rental of the same PROPERTY is confirmed within twelve (12) months following reception of the written notice. 6.4 If the written notice of cancellation is received thirty (30) days or less prior to the ARRIVAL DATE, the DEPOSIT shall not be reimbursed, nor shall the Lessee be entitled to convert it into a deposit for a later rental of the same PROPERTY unless the Lessor is able to rent the PROPERTY to another Lessee for the entire rental period for the same TOTAL FEE. OR 6.4 If the written notice of cancellation is received sixty (60) days or less prior to the ARRIVAL DATE, the DEPOSIT shall not be reimbursed, nor shall the Lessee be entitled to convert it into a deposit for a later rental of the same PROPERTY unless the Lessor is able to rent the PROPERTY to another Lessee for the entire rental period for the same TOTAL FEE. 6.5 Without limiting the foregoing, the Lessee shall be charged an administrative fee equal to 10% of the TOTAL FEE or a $75.00 minimum fee, whichever is greater, for any cancellation covered by subsections 6.1 to 6.4, regardless of the reason for the cancellation. 6.6 Late reservation: In situations covered by subsection 5.2, the Lessee is entirely responsible for the reservation and shall not be entitled to any reimbursement of the TOTAL FEE, nor to a deposit on a later rental of the same PROPERTY unless the Lessor is able to rent the PROPERTY to another Lessee for the entire rental period for the same TOTAL FEE. 6.7 As "COVID-19" is known to everyone at the time of booking, the Parts agree that no refund of the DEPOSIT or TOTAL AMOUNT debited, if applicable, will be made in relation to a cancellation directly or indirectly related to the control of the spread of "COVID-19". It is understood that any government decree, measure, restriction or recommendation of public health, any restriction on the maximum capacity of the LEASED PREMISES as well as any isolation measure related to "COVID-19" are expressly referred to by the control of the spread of "COVID-19" in the meaning of this article. In this context, if the stay cannot take place, the Parts agree that THE DEPOSIT or TOTAL AMOUNT debited, if applicable, will be transformed into a deposit for a later rental of the same PROPERTY, valid for a maximum period of twelve (12) months, starting from the ARRIVAL DATE. Any cancellation directly or indirectly related to the control of the spread of "COVID-19" will be deemed to be processed according to this article which will take precedence over the other articles of this contract which may be applicable, in particular the following articles: 3.1, 10.1 "d." and "e." as well as 12.1 "c.". Notwithstanding the foregoing, this article does not have the effect to undermine the rights of the Lessor provided for in article "13. BREACH OF CONTRACT".

  • Is there an extra charge for visitors?

    A fee of $50 1 or 2 days/nights is charged for each additional guest or visitor to the property. This fee applies whatever the length of the stay, whether or not the visitors sleep at the property. You must notify us immediately if additional guests plan on staying at the property. An additional fee of $50 per person applies for a stay of 1 or 2 days. For 3 days, the fee is $75 per person and for 4 to 7 days it is $100. ** Some cottages have different rates, contact us to know which ones. **

  • Do we have to clean the property before we leave? Are their additional housekeeping fees?

    Yes, you must leave the property in the same condition as when you arrived. However, we don’t ask you to wash the sheets and towels or make up the beds. You need to wash the dishes, clean up any mess and take the garbage to the designated place for disposal. If you brought animals with you, you need to clean up any excrement and fur.

  • What is a security deposit? When is it blocked on my credit card and for how long?

    A security deposit is an amount blocked on your credit card as a guarantee during the rental period. We block this amount two days before you arrive. It is automatically unblocked 4 days after your departure. For groups of 1 to 9 people, a $500 security deposit is required. For groups of 10 or more, the security deposit is $1,000. For our coattges with a maximum capacity of 14 people or more, the security deposit a $1000 security deposit is required.Some cottages have a security deposit ranging from $700 to $1,500, regardless of the cottage's capacity or number of guests. The security deposit must be blocked on the credit card of the person who booked the cottage and this person must be to the cottage during the entire stay.

  • When will we receive the keys to the property?

    Once your reservation has been made, you will receive confirmation by email. This confirmation includes contact information for the owner(s). You should get in touch with them 2 or 3 days before your arrival in order to make the necessary arrangements. They will explain how to take possession of the keys.

  • Where can I find the complete address of the property I am renting?

    Once you have completed the reservation, you will find the address of the property in the confirmation email we send you. We don’t display addresses on our website for reasons of confidentiality and security.

  • Are the hot tubs available for use all year long?

    Yes, the hot tubs are available for use by renters throughout the year. If there are exceptions, they are written on the page of the cottage.

  • What is included in the rental agreement?

    A fully equipped kitchen, dishes, utensils, bedding, bath towels, cleaning products, toilet paper (enough for a few days), paper towels (enough for a few days), garbage bags (limited quantity), life jackets when there are watercrafts. Firewood isn't always provided, it depends from one cottage to another. Some of the above may vary from one property to another.

  • What do we need to bring with us?

    Your own beach towels for the hot tub or for swimming, extra toilet paper and paper towels, and personal hygiene products—as well as your food, of course!

    We are not responsible for lost or stolen items. Contact the owners directly as soon as possible if you have forgotten something.

  • How much is the accommodation tax?

    The accommodation tax finances the Tourism Partnership Fund established to support and develop Québec’s tourism industry. The tax is applied in Québec tourism regions where the local tourism association has requested it.

  • Is it possible to change the number of guests in our party after the reservation has been made?

    Yes, we are very flexible on that. For any changes to your booking, you must contact us at [email protected]. We ask you to contact us 4 to 7 days before arrival to make a change to the number of people. No withdrawals will be made within 3 days of your stay.

  • What are your arrival and departure times?

    All our properties are guaranteed to be ready for your arrival after 5 p.m. Departure is to be no later than 11 a.m. for all properties. At the owners’ discretion, an earlier arrival or later departure may be negotiated.

  • Is the water safe to drink at the rental properties?

    Yes, the water is safe to drink at all our properties unless the municipality advises otherwise because of work on the system.

  • Is smoking allowed in any of your properties?

    No, all our properties are non-smoking. Smoking is strictly forbidden inside any building. An extra charge will be applied if this restriction is not respected.

  • Is it possible to exceed the maximum capacity of a property?

    No. The maximum capacity must be respected at all times. Any rental party exceeding the specified capacity will be subject to immediate eviction. The maximum capacity includes all guests, whether or not they sleep at the property. Our insurance may be deemed invalid if the specified maximum capacity is exceeded, which means that we would not be covered in the event of an accident.

  • Is propane gas for the barbecue included in the rental fee?

    Yes, all property owners who furnish a barbecue also provide gas for its use.

  • Is there an additional charge for animals at properties where they are accepted?

    Yes. The fees are of $ 50 for 2 nights, $ 75 for 3 nights and $ 100 for 4 to 7 nights (fees are per animal and before taxes). There is a limit of 2 animals per stay. You must clean up after them, mainly picking up and putting to garbage their feces and sweep up their hair. You are responsable for any damage or loss caused by your animal.
